Chicken gravy....

This ll serve the best sidedish for the chicken biriyani(chk the previous post)

Frnds,i was busy with my household works all these days..So had a delay in postin the sidedish..

Ingredients:
  • Onion - 1/2 kg

  • Tomato - 4 nos
  • Chicken/meat - 1/4 kg(cooked)

  • Cashew - 25 gm

  • Kasa Kasa - 1 tbsp

  • Coconut - 1 cup(grated)

  • Green Chillies - 4 nos
  • Coriander(chopped) - 1/2 cup
  • Mint leaves(chopped) - 1/2 cup
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Garlic - 8 or 10 pieces

  • Chilli powder - 2 tsp

  • Coriander Powder - 1 tsp

  • Soda-bi-carbonate - 1 pinch

  • Ani seeds - 1 tsp

  • Patta - 3 nos

  • Cinnamon - 4 nos
  • Cardamon - 3 nos
  • Pepper - 1 tsp

Method:

  • Grind the last 4 ingredients as powder.
  • Chop Onion, tomato and green chillies as tiny pieces.
  • Grind ginger n garlic as paste.
  • Grind Kasakasa,coriander powder,cashews n coconut as paste.Add lil water and grind.
  • Heat a kadai and add 4 tbsp of oil.
  • Then add ani seeds,onion,ginger garlic paste,green chillies and a pich of soda-bi-carbonate n saute well.
  • Next is to add the coriander n mint leaves n saute well.
  • After this gets cooked well,u will see the oil comin out of the mixture in the pan.Now carefully take out all the excess oil which comes out n preserve it seperately.
  • Then add the tomatoes and sute it till it gets cooked well.
  • Add the grinded coconut mixture and mix well.
  • Now add in the chilli powder,chicken/meat pieces to the mixture n mix well n saute for 3 mins.
  • To this sprinkle the powder,that we grinded,all over the mixture.
  • Add salt n reqd amt of water for the gravy n saute well.
  • Let it boil well,may be boil twice.
  • Then add the oil that we preserved to the boilin gravy n simmer for 2 mins.
  • The gravy is ready to serve now.

Note:This serves best for Chapathi,roti,naan n biriyani.

I am sure u r shocked with the title..but then its true..this curry tases as fish gravy bt is purely a vegetarian one... nw i will go on with the recipe n you ll knw y i said so... Ingredients: For Gravy: Onion Tomato Coconut cinnamon ani seeds Poppy seeds Sambar powder Roasted gram Salt Oil For the fish type: Gram flour Chilly powder Salt Method: For sambar: · Grind all the ingredients, Except onion, salt n oil. · Take a deep pan, heat oil. · Fry onion. · Add the grinded mixture. · Add salt. · Let it boil so that it gets cooked well. · At the end add coriander leaves.
